Your photo should come with clear expectations.
When you ask for a plant analysis, Plant Says Hi’s Worker sends your photo and any context you add to Qomza’s private gateway. This page explains what goes with that request and how the gateway keeps its records.
What travels with a lookup
An analysis request sends the photo you choose and the optional note you add, plus the technical request details the service needs: which tool you used, request identifiers, the app’s name, version, and build, the platform and environment labels, and your browser’s language preference. Your file’s original name stays in the request to this site and is not forwarded to the gateway. For live lookups, the Worker also forwards the connection IP address Cloudflare provides to Qomza. That address is included in the gateway’s records, though it may not appear as a separate searchable item. Avoid uploading sensitive information, faces, documents, secrets, or anything you do not want processed.
How lookup records are kept
Qomza’s gateway keeps what you send for each lookup, including your photo and any context you add, as well as the result it returns and related request, provider, and diagnostic information, in private operational storage. These records are retained indefinitely: they are not deleted automatically and stay until the gateway operator removes them.
Site fonts
The site’s typefaces, DM Sans and Fraunces, are served as font files hosted on this site rather than fetched from a font service. Loading a page does not send a separate request — or your details — to a font provider. Both families are published under the SIL Open Font License.
